Winter Design Market pops up at GOMA
A much-coveted event on the Brisbane shopping calendar, the design markets at GOMA always draw a crowd of eager shoppers keen to gather some locally handmade wares as gifts for others (and pocketing a few new pieces for their own abodes).
This weekend head along to the GOMA Forecourt on Saturday June 22 for the QAGOMA Store’s Winter Design Market. Running from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm, the Winter Design Market is a special event being held in conjunction with the new Quilts 1700-1945 exhibition at the Queensland Art Gallery.
Those with an appreciation for the artisan wares of local makers will find cushions from Touch Wood Design, ceramics by paper boat press, one-of-a-kind objects from erinswindow, wooden brooches and accessories from Each To Own and jewellery from O Bliss and Jeweller to the Lost. Celebrating Brisbane’s ample art and design scene, the market will be cash only, with coffee and light refreshments ready for that post-shopping pick-me-up.
