New winter flavours at Willow & Spoon, Alderley
Sitting on bustling Samford Road in Alderley, Willow & Spoon is an unassuming haven for the gourmet. Essentially a breakfast bar that specialises in a morning menu (as well as the all-important coffee accompaniment), the cafe rotates its menu monthly, keeping patrons on their toes.
On weekends, Willow & Spoon becomes awash with the famished and those eager to try the creatively titled dishes that are just as flamboyant in presentation as they are in flavour. This winter expect delights to include the whimsical Sleeping Beauty – a combination of poached eggs, honey and thyme labna as well as a smoked-tomato crumpet with a delicious sauce. Or you could try the savoury Kimia, with roasted vegetable bisteeya, almonds, ricotta, harissa chutney and lime.
Visitors can sit indoors around the cabinet of cakes, or take a place on the couch out front where you can watch the world go by, soaking up some rare winter sun.
