The Street Photographer: Bunker

Ivy vines creep from the outside in, snaking their way along the walls and ceiling of this tiny concrete cave. After discovering a war bunker constructed during World War II, Marcus Allison turned the disused space into a comforting haunt for the coffee and hot-chocolate obsessed denizens of the neighbourhood. Whether huddled inside, cradling a warm cup of organic, fairtrade hot chocolate and a book, or sprawled across the sidewalk for a post-cycle coffee with friends, Bunker is an espresso haven where community is key and source, quality and fairness are highly valued.
