If you can believe it, there are only 11 weeks until Christmas – which means a whole lot of celebrating, feasting and popping of champagne bottles is on the horizon. If you’re a bit strapped for festive funds, new app on the block Payo has got your back, saving you from having to renege on any upcoming celebrations. Joining the buy now, pay later phenomenonPayo’s mission is ‘to support the hospitality industry by encouraging more people to dine out and enjoy more’. The handy app allows you to pay the bill in one of two pays – the first being upfront and the second in four fortnightly instalments with zero interest, leaving you with more coin for those pesky things called bills.

Culinary adventurers can currently use Payo at beloved Brisbane eateries like Cielo Rooftop BarTenyaSalt Meats CheeseThe Gunshop CafeThe Maillard Project, Archive Beer BoutiqueMiss Demeanour and many more, with venues being added to the directory weekly. Keep your eyes peeled for updates in the app. Payo is on its way to Gold Coast later this month! New customers can initially apply for up to $1000 credit and, if their application is successful, they can dine in at more than 500 venues. From there it’s as easy as paying 25-percent of the bill at the time of transaction, then sorting the rest over three remaining fortnightly instalments.
