Eat now, pay later – new app Payo is letting you leave the bill without dining and dashing
If you can believe it, there are only 11 weeks until Christmas – which means a whole lot of celebrating, feasting and popping of champagne bottles is on the horizon. Our credit card usually suffers a lashing during the festive months, but thanks to new app Payo, we won’t have to worry about picking up the bill until a little later. We’ll cheers to that.
Silly season is nearly upon us, and this means our calendar is about to become full of decadent dinners, lavish long lunches and a whole lot of events that will see us splashing cash. If you’re a bit strapped for festive funds, new app on the block Payo has got your back, saving you from having to renege on any upcoming celebrations. Joining the buy now, pay later phenomenon, Payo’s mission is ‘to support the hospitality industry by encouraging more people to dine out and enjoy more’. The handy app allows you to pay the bill in one of two pays – the first being upfront and the second in four fortnightly instalments with zero interest, leaving you with more coin for those pesky things called bills.
Culinary adventurers can currently use Payo at beloved Brisbane eateries like Cielo Rooftop Bar, Tenya, Salt Meats Cheese, The Gunshop Cafe, The Maillard Project, Archive Beer Boutique, Miss Demeanour and many more, with venues being added to the directory weekly. Keep your eyes peeled for updates in the app. Payo is on its way to Gold Coast later this month! New customers can initially apply for up to $1000 credit and, if their application is successful, they can dine in at more than 500 venues. From there it’s as easy as paying 25-percent of the bill at the time of transaction, then sorting the rest over three remaining fortnightly instalments.
