BIGSOUND 2013 Music+Design

BIGSOUND 2013 showcases Music+Design world

Celebrating its 12th birthday, BIGSOUND 2013 is set to highlight national and international guests who are leading the way in the music industry.

In an amalgamation of music, design and beer, BIGSOUND 2013 will commence Tuesday September 10. Each year, BIGSOUND presents an internationally involved conference, drawing on the music industry’s top talents to provide insights from an interesting collection of artists, buyers and industry experts.

This year, the festival’s Music+Design program will build on the festival’s platform for bringing together creative products with both members of the music industry and the public. The design events will be led by a core team of Brisbane studios who will work collaboratively to explore and solve music industry problems live on site. This year’s BIGSOUND speakers will include Nick Cave, Vello Virkhaus and John Warwicker.

The CMD Live Design Lab
will run from September 10–12 and create a unique opportunity to bring about dialogue and action. In combination with the Music + Design program, the Artisan Beer+Design event is set to highlight the wares of some of the nation’s top design talents, paired with locally crafted beers curated by The Scratch and exhibited in stands from Street Food Australia. Set in Artisan’s carpark, Artisan Beer+Design will see lounge areas arranged by local design studios, where attendees can listen to the music of some of Australia’s newest acts.
