Ultra Lounge Bar & Cafe is the work of two well-travelled local lads, Scott Ackland and Nathan Claridge, and represents the best bits of their culinary adventures abroad. Bringing good old-fashioned hospitality back into the hospitality industry, the gents set out to create a relaxed venue where you can feel as comfortable on your own as in a group. The menu takes you from breakfast through to dinner and beyond and offers a little taste of global cuisine with pan-fried saganaki, scallops with roast beetroot and crispy-skinned pork belly among the selections. If you’re in the mood for something a bit more substantial, sink your teeth into the Ultra burger; double Wagu beef, bacon, aged cheddar, smokey barbecue sauce topped with fiery onion rings. With plates ranging from $10 to $19 (with the exception of the venue’s share plates), Ultra Lounge Bar & Cafe is perfect for the mid-week meal and weekend indulgence. If you do happen to find yourself with a few extra dollars, you can buy a meal for the homeless for the discounted rate of $9.99 and at the end of the month, the meals will be delivered to people in need.
