Eating out often comes at the cost of eating healthy because try as you might, burgers win, every time. BSKT Cafe is giving you the chance to have your cake and eat it too, so to speak, with its brand new local nights. The evening menu has been specially created to offer a healthy twist on street-food and is designed to showcase and celebrate the abundance of produce we have available on our doorstep. Pick at some zucchini shoestring fries or hand-made dumplings before moving on to some healthy empanadas topped with spiced yoghurt, a veggie con carne served in a crispy tortilla shell or indulge in the karaagi chicken, rare eye fillet sliders or miscellaneous vegan goodies on the mezze plate. The plates range from $8 to $16 so they’re kind on the hip pocket, too. Wash it all down with a chilled beer, wine or enjoy a specialty cocktail that is made with fruit that was grown in the hinterland.
