The Chef’s Daughter has opened along Arbour Drive in Robina, much to the delight of workers and residents in the nearby buildings. The new venue offers traditional Australian breakfasts, Asian-inspired lunches and organic brews of the caffeinated kind.

Growing up with two chefs as parents, Lily Ma developed a profound appreciation for amazing, fresh food. It is this passion for produce that led Lily and her family to establish The Chef’s Daughter cafe in Robina. The family previously operated a popular restaurant, cafe and bar in China before moving out to Australia to retire, however the culinarily-gifted couple soon realised that retirement wasn’t for them and yearned to get back in the kitchen. The Chef’s Daughter is inspired by Australian food and coffee culture and offers all-day breakfast, sandwiches, handmade dumplings and other bites. Get your day off to a great start with some good ol’ fashioned pancakes, house-made granola or the ever popular avocado smash topped with plump cherry tomatoes and gooey feta.

As the day rolls on, the menu adds a distinct Asian twist with Mama’s Dumplings and fried rice. Handmade to order, the dumplings offer traditional Asian presentation but have been reinvented for a modern Australian audience with fillings including pork and beef alongside an unexpectedly Australian spinach, feta and sundried tomato option. If you’re in need of a little pick-me-up, The Chef’s Daughter brews an organic Peruvian blend and a devilishly good cold-brew that is made in-house by Ryan.
