Move over Willy Wonka – QT Gold Coast is set to unveil its own edible wonderland

QT Gold Coast is known for pushing the culinary bar to delicious new heights, but this Christmas, executive chef Greg Benney, together with executive pastry chef, Daniel King have well and truly outdone themselves unveiling a Wonka-esque wonderland aptly called QT Gingerland where even the bricks are edible. Yes, really …

Like an excited kid on Christmas morning anxiously waiting to rip into presents, QT Gold Coast is preparing to tear the wrapping off an incredible candy-covered emporium, QT Gingerland. This enchanting world has been handmade with 400 gingerbread bricks, adorned with over 150-kgs of royal icing and embellished with hundreds of colourful candy canes. Promising to be a treat for all of your senses, guests will be invited to tuck in to plum puddings as well as an assortment of nougat, traditional mince pies and gingerbread, of course.

Located in the lobby, this edible masterpiece will be serving a sleighful of festive treats from December 2 through to Christmas Eve. “The edible emporium is a gingerbread-inspired Christmas workshop featuring a line-up of all your festive favourites alongside Christmas classics, reimagined in our signature QT quirk,” says executive chef Greg Benney of QT Gingerland.

QT Gingerland will be open daily from Saturday December 2.
