The 4217 welcomes BKRY to the precinct

The final chapter in The 4217 story is complete following the opening of BKRY, as in ‘bakery’ without the vowels. The new venue has all of your bread, pastry and sweet treats covered.

Long before the sun rises, the bakers at BKRY are toiling away from the open plan kitchen creating the day’s assortment of crispy-on-the-outside-fluffy-on-the-inside white bread, multi-grain, wholemeal and rye loaves to grab and go. The aroma of freshly baked goods travels down the corridor of The 4217 infiltrating each of the providores and luring customers into its sweet grasp. Be tempted by BKRY’s tasty treats that are sprawled out on the counter such as cinnamon scrolls that are still warm from the oven, cheesy, salty Vegemite-y creations and sweet, fruity Stollen bread, a German Christmas favourite.

Alongside baked goods, BKRY also whips up a stellar selection of specialty pies and sausage rolls that are a world removed from the regular service station variety. Rather than meat of questionable quality, BKRY’s pies and sausage rolls are packed with delicious things like pulled pork, chunky vegetables and beef or sweet potato, ricotta, caramelised onion and walnut. If you’ve got a celebration coming up, allow BKRY to whip up a custom cake for the occasion. Whether you’re after a classic chocolate or something more elaborate, the team can create something truly memorable for all the right reasons. The kind-hearted folk at BKRY are also doing their part by donating any leftover product to OzHarvest, a non-profit charity serving food to disadvantaged members of the community.
