Club Burleigh reinvents club dining

The long dormant space previously occupied by Swell Tavern has been given a new lease on life as Club Burleigh. The relaxed, family-friendly venue has reinvented the services club experience to fill a gap in Burleigh Heads’ culinary landscape.

Forget rubbery crumbed calamari and schnitzels the size of your head, Club Burleigh has upped the ante to sit somewhere between a services club and a fancy restaurant. The menu, the work of head chef Rolf van der Kamp, offers a broad range of nosh including fresh, locally sourced seafood through to hefty burgers and mains. Peking duck pancakes drizzled with deliciously sweet dipping sauce and coconut and macadamia nut prawns are appetising appetisers while the mighty Club B Burger and the organic chicken breast stuffed with crab meat and lemon garlic butter have been popular mains.

Accompanying the extensive selection of food, the venue offers Burleigh Brewing Co beers on tap including the peculiar Black Draft coffee flavoured beer, wines and cocktails. If by chance the beers went down a little too easy and you wake up nursing a mean hangover, Club Burleigh offers a breakfast buffet on weekends. Cure your ailing self with a plate (or plates, we’re not here to judge) piled high with bacon, eggs, hash browns and mushrooms for just $16.50. Club Burleigh has been imagined as a place you can catch up with some buds over a brew but also bring the family for a night out. Best of all, membership is $1 for life.
