Tweed Valley Country Roots Festival (TVCRfest) is a new family-friendly music festival located in one of Australia’s most stunning and pristine environments at the base of Mt Warning in the spectacular sub-tropical region of Murwillumbah. There is onsite camping, markets, Friday night foodie event, music workshops and art exhibits for lovers of fine music, great food and relaxing times with family and friends at his year’s TVCRfest.

TVCRfest features a star-studded line-up featuring the cream of the country and roots crop including Kasey Chambers, Tex Perkins & the Band of Gold, John Williamson, Tim Rogers, Vika & Linda Bull, The Pigram Brothers (all the way from Broome), Wes Carr, Bill Chambers and loads more. Running over the October long weekend (October 1 and 2) TVCRfest will not only include great music but will also feature the inaugural Taste The Tweed event showcasing local chefs, fresh local produce and the gastronomic diversity of the Tweed Valley region.

The Essence Music Workshop will be another TVCRfest first this year. Australian Idol winner Wes Carr, country music veteran Bill Chambers and up-and-comer folk troubadour, ARIA nominee and International Songwriting winner, Harry Hookey will be running a two-day intensive workshop targeted at 14-18 year old musicians. The workshops will run in the lead up to the festival and will be full of practical tips and techniques improve song-writing, performance and provide professional industry how-to guide’s.
