The renowned Surf Life Saving Australia Championships is a unique competition that encourages younger people to take part in activities such as water safety, peak surf lifesaving and drowning prevention.

The SLSA is a volunteer organisation that includes more than 300 local clubs, almost 17 regional branches and 7 separate centres. The members of SLSA offer beach patrolling across the public beaches in Australia and actively organise and manage the surf carnivals and sports in Australia; and in addition, Surf Life Saving Australia is also known for organising all major surf lifesaving events in the nation.

The Australia Surf Life Saving Championships encourages many youngsters to take part and take active part to improve the beach safety across Australia. During the action-packed week, athletes of all ages take part and showcase their talents in various exhilarating surf lifesaving events and as one of the biggest sporting events in Australia, this championship invites a number of enthusiastic volunteers from all parts of Australia to compete and emerge as a world-class performer.
