Mother’s Day at Cucino Vivo


Forget the store-bought flowers and pithy little Mother’s Day card this weekend, and instead opt to treat mum like the absolute queen she is at Cucina Vivo. The Broadbeach locale is hosting an indulgent three-course Italian lunch and two-hour beverage package that is sure to satiate even the most hard-to-please mums. The sumptuous spread kicks off with a Chandon on arrival (the perfect start to any meal, in our humble opinion), which is quickly followed by an antipasti platter brimming with prosciutto, parmigiano reggiano, marinated olives and grissini. From there, you and your loved ones can dig in to delicious dishes like housemade mushroom arancini, rosemary-and-garlic focaccia and buffalo mozzarella.

The main affair arrives in the form of a seafood-laden spaghetti marinara with king prawn, red snapper, calamari, Kinkawooka mussels and pipis, or the Stockyard beef sirloin with crushed-lemon-and-herb kipfler potatos, picked-herb salad and Piemonte sauce. These mouth-watering mains will be accompanied by a side salad of cherry tomatoes topped with aged red-wine vinegar, basil and ciabatta. Make sure you leave room for dessert, as the flavour-packed feast will finish with a selection of small Italian-inspired desserts and gelato. Quenching your thirst throughout the lunch will be the two-hour drinks package, with waiters pouring the likes of 821 sauvignon blanc, Dal Zotto ‘Pucino’ prosecco and Wolf Blass ‘Blass’ shiraz, as well as various beers, soft drinks and juices. Plus, all lovely ladies attending the lunch will be gifted a dried floral arrangement.

Cucina Vivo’s Mother’s Day Lunch is happening between 12:30–3:00 pm on Sunday May 14, so book your table ASAP to avoid missing out.
