This year halloween falls on a Tuesday, which undoubtedly prohibits costume ideas considering most work places probably wouldn’t appreciate your zombie bride outfit. The good news is that The Design Collective is giving you the chance to make the most of your eerie ensemble by hosting a Halloween-themed festival at its brand new market site in Mermaid Waters this Saturday October 28. There will be live music, roving performers, a free jumping castle for the kiddies and even a free outdoor movie (Monsters Inc.) as well as tons of market stalls and delicious food. Costumes are strongly encouraged and there will be prizes for best dressed.

The Lanes is located on the corner of Hooker Boulevard and Bermuda Street in Mermaid Waters. There is parking available on-site by gold coin donation to the Talley Valley rural fire brigade, alternatively, there is plenty of free off-street parking.
