Birkbecks Jewellers Pink Ribbon Cup Raceday

Spring has officially sprung which means it’s time to dust off the fascinators and shine your shoes because Spring Racing Carnival is back, baby! This year, there will be seven major race days with live, local racing every Saturday, kicking off in spectacular style on Saturday September 19 with the eagerly anticipated Birkbecks Jewellers Pink Ribbon Cup Raceday. The $125,000 Gold Coast Pink Ribbon Cup celebrates 13 years in 2020 and has become Australia’s largest official community fundraiser for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, so it’s for a fantastic cause.

Patrons are encouraged to wear pink and make a gold coin donation to NBCF. If you’re keen to up the ante, Aquis Park is ready to pop the corks on premium and party packages so guests can enjoy the on-field action in elegance, style and high spirits. The Gordon’s Pink Gin Garden Party ($85) returns to The Dome for its second year with reserved table seating adjacent to the mounting yard, a Gordon’s Pink Gin cocktail on arrival and seasonal serve-to-plate buffet with dessert. A limited number of premium tickets to the glittering NBCF Pink Ribbon Cup Raceday Function ($2,500 per table of 10) in Aquis Park’s Event Centre also remain. The Palms Super Saturday Picnic Edition ($30) invites racegoers to shed the stilettos and suits and enjoy a shaded trackside lawn area with a reserved table, food and beverage vouchers and big screen. All Pink Ribbon Cup Raceday General Admission and function tickets must be pre-purchased online before Saturday September 19. Gates open at 10:00 am and the raceday ends at 5:30 pm.

Coinciding with the start of the 2020 Spring Racing Carnival, Aquis Park has unveiled a COVID-busting concept to ensure trendsetters who can’t attend the Pink Ribbon Cup Raceday on Saturday September 19 can still enjoy the elegance and style of a day at the races. The Virtual Fashions Off The Field Competition, presented by Gold Coast Turf Club and National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF), GlamCorner, Oscar Oscar Salons and Pink Ribbon Cup Raceday, takes place online from September 1 – 17. Fashionistas from across Australia are encouraged to ‘think pink’, make a donation to the NBCF, and post a photo to Instagram of their race day outfit with the hashtag #PinkRibbonRaceday and tags @gcturfclub and @glamcornerau. For more info, jump over here.

All Aquis Park events comply with relevant COVID-safe plans and health authority directions to ensure the good health and wellbeing of members, guests, staff and all racing participants.
