This event is held as part of the Scenic Rim Eat Local Week. Scenic Rim Eat Local Week celebrates the food, farmers and natural beauty of the Scenic Rim through a program of festivals, farm gate events and culinary experiences.  This festival of food and farming runs during the first week of the Queensland June-July school holidays at various locations around the Scenic Rim region, which is just one hour drive from Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
