Ze Pickle brings burgers from Burleigh to Brisbane

After earning legions of followers at their Burleigh Heads location, the Ze Pickle team has expanded to Brisbane, bringing burgers to the loving arms of Fortitude Valley locals.

Ze Pickle is one of the Gold Coast’s must-try spots for lunch and dinner thanks to its selection of absolutely jaw-dropping burgers. After noticing a large influx of customers making the trip from Brisbane for a bite of a Ze Pickle burger, owners Nathan, Aaron and JD decided it was time to add another location up north. After a six-month search for the ideal spot the trio settled on a spot in Fortitude Valley. The 120-seater venue is situated on Hynes Street – a short stroll from the Emporium – and will open on Saturday November 21. Ze Pickle Fortitude Valley boasts a similar aesthetic that long-time customers would be accustomed to, with a rustically cool interior, unique light fixtures and stencil graffiti from Brisbane street-artist Skull Capper. The venue also features deck seating outside, perfect for Brisbane’s warm summer nights.

Fans of the Burleigh Heads business will love the fact that the menu remains largely unchanged, with a comprehensive list of burgers and bar snacks on offer for lunch, dinner and takeaway. Ze Pickle’s menu boasts six beef burgers including favourites such as the Oak Wood smoked brisket burger, the zesty Pablo Escoburger, the hefty Triple Loco and the Cronut Burger – which is just as ludicrous as it sounds. Also on the menu are three chicken burgers, a slow-cooked pulled pork burger and one vegetarian burger. Gluten-free eaters can alter the burgers to become a lettuce wrap, or can bring their own gluten-free bun to be filled with deliciousness. Bar snacks include Kumera fries, porkitas and wings, while the Zessina dessert has to be seen to be believed. Ze Pickle sources its meat from Meat at Billy’s in Ashgrove, produce from Jensen’s Market Supplies and bread from Le Sebastian. Eating burgers is thirsty work, thankfully the bar boasts 12 taps offering rotating selection of craft beers including 4 Pines, Green Beacon and Young Henrys as well as a small selection of cocktails.
