This summer is set to be particularly sweltering, so it’s best to know where you’re closest cool dessert spot is located in case things get too heated. If you live in and around Paddington, Yo-Chi could be a lifesaver over the scorching months. The rapidly growing frozen-yoghurt brand has just opened a new location at Rosalie Village, complete with its signature self-serve yoghurt machines and a buffet-style toppings bar.

Everyone’s dessert preference is different. Some folks love sweets coated in decadent chocolate, while others enjoy a fruit-heavy option. Rich or light, there’s no wrong choice, really. So, if you’ve got a sweet tooth that needs to be satisfied, Yo-Chi can help you get it done. The dessert dispensary has been on a barnstorming run in 2023, with ten venues launching across Australia this year alone. What’s the secret to Yo-Chi’s success? Well, it’s hard to ignore the brand’s signature soft-serve-style natural yoghurt (which is 98-percent fat-free yoghurt) for one. Then you’ve got the toppings bar, which offers the ultimate opportunity for personalisation. Throw in some vibrant branding and an upbeat atmosphere, and you can start to see what Yo-Chi has only risen in popularity in Brisbane recently.

Yo-Chi’s new Paddington store can be found on Baroona Road in a cosy corner space once home to Baskin Robbins. One side of the interior is filled with self-serve frozen yoghurt machines, which guests can use to pour swirls of their preferred flavour – including salted butterscotch, strawberry cream, mango, signature tart, chocolate and brand-new addition, acai. Once you’ve filled your cup, swivel around to the toppings bar and load up with mounds of fresh fruit, chopped nuts, crushed cornflakes, coconut flakes, chocolate soil, vegan cookie dough and strawberry mochi, before drizzling sauce (chocolate, Biscoff and peanut butter) all over your masterpiece. Your dream dessert can be enjoyed on site or taken to devour on the go, but don’t wait too long to devour it – this cool treat is best enjoyed immediately.
