Savour some authentic flavours at the Polish Food Markets

Milton’s Polonia is the location of a fortnightly Polish market day, which stocks a veritable bounty of flavoursome homemade goods.

Polonia, or The Polish Club, is a cultural institution that has acted as a community hub and popular eatery for years. The Polish Club restaurant serves some of the best Polish fare in town and is a supporter of the Milton community and Brisbane’s Polish community at large. Every fortnight the club hosts a Polish Food Market in its reception hall, which is filled with the aromas of authentic Polish cuisine and the sounds of friendly chatter.

Many goods at the Polish Food Market are homemade and include everything from baked goods to arts and crafts. Polish groceries and delicacies such as breads, pickled cabbage and mushrooms are available, as is a selection of delicious meats including salami and sausages. One must try delicacy is the pierogi – the Polish dumpling, which is available in packs of ten. To see what is on offer, head to The Polish Club every second Friday from 12:00 pm.
