Let a beer cocktail tickle your fancy at The Hideaway

Let a beer cocktail tickle your fancy at The Hideaway

It took a long time for the Brisbane bloke to confidently sport a fruity cocktail topped with a palm tree swizzle stick. Many still opt for the more ‘masculine’ looking espresso martini, with its chocolate tones matching their leather brogues.

But ticking boxes amongst men’s beverages of choice is The Hideaway’s new range of beer cocktails. Following a spontaneous mixology moment, the Zingabeer was created, featuring Domain de Canton ginger liqueur and fresh lime juice with Brisbane-brewed Queensland Ale.

Filling the gap between beer and cocktail drinkers, these new beverages are about trying something different from your regular tipple of choice.

With the taps rotated just this week, expect a Celtic Heather Ale concoction this weekend – a brew created exclusively for The Hideaway – with a darker Red Berry Black IPA blend in the works as well.

With the boutique beers on tap rotated regularly, each cocktail’s lifespan is limited, meaning The Hideaway has a constant challenge to create new recipes.
