Westfield Garden City underwent a mighty makeover last year, resulting in an expanded shopping centre with plenty of delectable new dining options. We take you on a tour through some of the Town Square Restaurant Precinct’s tastiest venues – but be warned, this article may induce severe hunger.

Westfield Garden City’s Town Square Restaurant Precinct is bursting with dining options, from casual takeaway joints to elegant venues that would impress your mother. The Palms Mediterranean Bar and Grill was one of the first to open and occupies a gorgeous position hugging the water’s edge in the centre of the Town Square. Brought to you by Alchemy Restaurant + Bar’s Angelica and Brad Jolly, there was never any doubt this venue was going to be spectacular – and with dishes like crab linguine with tomato, basil and white wine, and slow-braised lamb shoulder with smoked new potatoes and salt-baked baby carrots, it’s ticking all the boxes. Nearby, Vapiano brings a wealth of experience from dishing up divine Italian dishes in locations around the world to its venue in Upper Mount Gravatt. Find a seat amongst the vertical green wall and olive trees, and order up a feast of antipasti, pizza, pasta and cocktails to celebrate la dolce vita. A few stores down, Hatch & Co. brings the same home-style approach to cooking as at sibling venues in Newstead and Brisbane City, resulting in a welcoming spot for an indulgent weekend breakfast, express weekday lunch or shared family dinner.

Next door, Kinn Thai Restaurant dishes up handcrafted Thai dishes alongside creative cocktails and wine. Swing by at lunchtime for a papaya salad with grilled chicken or a warming tom yum noodle soup, or settle in for a dinner feast of crispy pork belly, soft-shell crab or slow-cooked lamb shank. Not far away, Motto Motto Japanese Restaurant dishes up traditional donburi rice bowls, bento boxes and 12-hour tonkotsu ramen soup. Fresh seafood and Wagyu beef is prepared by hand at sister restaurant Sono each day, before being delivered to the Motto Motto kitchen.
