Sate your cravings with Famished on Frasers’ new all-day brunch menu

Tucked away in the leafy avenues of Ashgrove, Famished on Frasers is a cosy, casual cafe nestled inside an old corner store. Long beloved by locals (including pooches!), the spot is renowned for its warm and welcoming atmosphere, fine fare and beatific brews. After more than ten years of trade, Famished on Frasers is not afraid to keep things fresh, launching a new menu of tasty treats, delectable dishes and enticing brunch options. To get the sweet scoop, read on …

Around its sleek black-and-white emblazoned exterior, Famished on Frasers sets out plentiful outdoor tables, perfect for those who want to dine alongside their faithful hound. Indeed, Famished on Frasers is so dog friendly you can order your furry pal dog biscuits and warm puppycinos off the menu, so Fido can feel part of the fun.

Inside, baristas are hard at work brewing up Toby’s Estate coffee, while customers clamour for the all-day brunch. Famished on Frasers’ new menu features cafe classics like house-made granola, smashed avocado on toast, a big breakfast and a suite of eggs Benedicts, alongside standout options such as the smoked-salmon croissant stuffed with a hash brown, rocket, poached eggs, avocado and hollandaise sauce. There’s also the Famished prosciutto bagel – a New-York style bagel filled with brie cheese, fried egg, Swiss cheese, hash brown, rocket, apple, walnuts and balsamic syrup. And we can’t forget the prawn okonomiyaki omelette, served with tuna flakes, nori and toast.

For those seeking more substantial fare, offerings include tacos, nachos, club sandwiches, corn-and-zucchini fritters and beef burgers with oyster mushrooms and garlic yoghurt sauce. Try the chicken karaage waffle drizzled with maple syrup, or shaking beef stir fried with capsicum and onion served with mashed potatoes and a slice of toast.

There are plenty of options for those searching for vegetarian fare, from roasted pumpkin salad with fried kale, quinoa, grilled sweet corn and chilli lime dressing, to pesto mushie toast featuring three different mushrooms. Of course the best part of all-day brunch is skipping straight to dessert. Try the house-made caramel pancakes with a big scoop of ice-cream, or the raspberry panna cotta with fresh fruit and roasted nuts.

On the drinks front, in addition to some well-brewed Toby’s Estate and a range of loose-leaf teas, Famished on Frasers offers non-caffeinated options like hot chocolate (including a white chocolate variety), matcha green tea latte and chai latte, as well as an array of smoothies, fresh fruit blends, milkshakes, frappes and other iced drinks.

Famished on Frasers is open seven days a week, serving all-day brunch from 6:00am to 1:30 pm. Head to the Stumble Guide for more information.
