Enjoy the flavours of five boroughs at Crave NYC
While Brisbane doesn’t boast boulevards lined with brownstone houses and cosy diners on every corner, a new inner city pit-stop is giving eaters a chance to get a taste for the Big Apple through food. Bulging bagels, chopped salads, stuffed sandwiches – if you’ve got a craving, Crave NYC has got what you need.
Although cheap pizza slices and street vendor hotdogs are New York City staples, the iconic junk food offerings often overshadow the veritable bounty of fresh and healthy options the city affords. Crave NYC is the brainchild of two brothers who sought to show off the calorie-controlled cuisine that is popular in America’s largest city. Combining a fresh grab-and-go offering with a hip NYC street vibe, this lunchtime oasis is a one-stop shop for breakfast and lunch bites, with a wide array of imported treats and fresh meals readily available.
The main offering at Crave NYC is the build-your-own salad and sandwich bar. Patrons can choose a lettuce or bread base, then top it with protein and a selection of add ins and watch it prepped right in front of their eyes. Those that can’t even wait a New York minute can grab pre-made sandwiches, wraps, salads, yoghurt cups, juices from HRVST ST and coffee to go. Specialty bites include a selection of hot meals such as bacon and egg bagels, Jambalaya of sausage, shrimp, chicken and ham and the NYC Turbo Turban with sweet potato, cauliflower, coconut milk, Indian spices, red quinoa and rice. As for the imported goods, Crave NYC has a range of American beers on offer, as well as chips, soft drinks and sauces that you’d be hard-pressed to find anywhere else in town.
