CafeSmart 2013

Buy a coffee for CafeSmart and raise funds for the homeless

Australia’s homeless population exists quietly, but organisations such as StreetSmart help to ensure the issue of homelessness remains on the public agenda. This Friday, June 7, marks the return of CafeSmart, with $1 from every coffee purchased at participating cafes being donated to StreetSmart.

That means that when you purchase your morning cup of joe tomorrow, you’ll be helping a good cause without having gone out of your way. Cafes who agree to participate donate money from their own profits for the day, and last year almost $75,000 was raised.

Bunker, The Low Road Cafe, Campos Coffee and The Roastery Cafe are among the Brisbane cafes taking part, and you can find the full list on the CafeSmart website.

StreetSmart is an organisation that generates funds to support grassroots services for Australia’s homeless population. Projects funded by StreetSmart provide assistance and empowerment for the homeless, with CafeSmart being part of this aim.
