Pavement Whispers: the City Winery crew to open a new Ardo’s location in Milton
Milton locals will score a sleek new sipping spot next month when Ardo’s – a swiftly expanding wine bar and cellar door concept by the City Winery crew – swings open its doors, pairing top-notch drops with charcuterie and snacks.
Set to be pouring from Saturday March 9, the Milton arrival will be the fourth Ardo’s location to open in Brisbane over the past 12 months, as the City Winery team continues to roll out its neighbourhood-wine-bar concept across the suburbs. Like its sibling venues in Newstead, Graceville and Hawthorne, the Milton iteration will operate as a wine-bar-cellar-door hybrid, where sippers can drink-in while grazing on pintxos-style snacks, charcuterie, cheese and accompaniments, or browse an expansive collection of wines to take away.
The soon-to-open Milton outpost will also mark a slight shift in offering for Ardo’s, which will see the four venues focus more heavily on Brisbane-made City Winery wines. While the shelves and wine list will still feature guest-starring wines from other local producers and esteemed Australian winemakers, the Ardo’s locations will essentially become a suburban cellar door for City Winery’s ever-expanding offering of locally crafted drops.
