The Lamb Shop


Peter Glouftis’ Broadbeach favourite The Lamb Shop is set up shop in the Brisbane Showgrounds’ King Street precinct in March 2017. The casual Greek eatery gives the traditional souvlaki a modern makeover, alongside Mediterranean-inspired dishes such as char-grilled octopus, and corn with oregano butter and shaved sheep-milk cheese. Every morning the kitchen fires up its coal grill using aromatic hardwood sourced from western Queensland, then places hunks of high quality lamb sourced from Junee in central New South Wales on the rotisserie to cook for five hours. Everything on the menu is available to takeaway, but those dining in can wash down their meals with beer from Mythos, Young Henrys, Cricketers Arms and Doss Blockos, or can opt for a wine instead.
