Taro Akimoto, chef and restaurateur, Taro's Ramen and Sapporo Izakaya
For a vast number of Brisbane dwellers, their very first ramen experience likely was courtesy of Taro Akimoto. The distinguished chef has been serving us Japanese delights for the past 13 years, growing his Taro’s Ramen concept to now include four locations across town. Taking his renowned style of Japanese cuisine to the next level, chef Taro has partnered with Japanese brewery Sapporo to create a unique concept especially for Night Feast, which is taking over the Brisbane Powerhouse from October 4–29. Sapporo Izakaya by Taro will see you treated to an intimate dining experience, sitting up at the bar as you watch chef Taro meticulously prepare each dish before your eyes. The select set menu includes the likes of posh edamame, sashimi, karaage and wagyu garlic steak, all perfectly paired with crisp Sapporo beers.
