Albion food and lifestyle hub Craft’d Grounds is an epicentre of epicurean ecstasy, with a restaurant, fromagerie, patisserie and craft-beer brewery expected to call the hub home once complete. Sydney-born coffee crew Seven Miles joined the fun in 2021, opening a Queensland flagship roastery and caffeinery at the heart of the precinct’s open-plan layout. The site boasts brand-new roasting apparatus, a retail area, coffee bar and facilities for barista training, masterclasses, cupping sessions and barista-art competitions. Caffeine fiends are able to pop into Seven Miles to get a taste of its blends, which are crafted through a considered process described as a mixture of art and science. The roaster’s smooth and complex Brisbane-made blend, The Cat’s Pyjamas, is be available alongside other widely lauded blends such as Wilde and Cultivar, plus a host of single-origin roasts. Guests can also expect a range of brew methods and a small selection of snacks (including cakes and biscuits from Floss Bakes) to go with your selected sip.
