Viet Baguettes opens in Surfers Paradise

Viet Baguettes is the first of many exciting new tenants that has opened in Chevron Lane as part of its refurbishment that will see a little taste of Melbourne come to life in Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast.

If tasting your way around the streets of Vietnam is on your culinary bucket list then prepare to be excited. Viet Baguettes in Surfers Paradise is serving up beautifully authentic Vietnamese street food that will ignite your wanderlust and make you want to book your flights immediately.

The delectable menu is inspired by owner Kerry Blank’s own childhood memories of the local Vietnamese community in Melbourne gathering to make food and celebrate their culture. Viet Baguettes offers a selection of classics including house-made Vermicelli noodles with roast pork belly and crackling, zesty lemongrass beef, crusty Vietnamese baguettes as well as perfectly prepared rice paper rolls, which if you’ve tried to make these at home, you appreciate the struggle is real. According to Kerry, the trick to the perfect rice paper roll is in the consistency of the paper, too soft and your roll will end up a gluey mess but too hard and they won’t roll. Or just head along to Viet Baguettes and get the talented staff to do it for you. See our Stumble Guide for opening times.
