Shop ’til you drop and then refuel at Robina Town Centre’s The Little Spoon Co

It’s hard not to notice The Little Spoon Co, the cheerful sunflower-yellow cafe that’s sprung to life a couple of spots down from Kmart at Robina Town Centre. The light and bright new eatery dishes up all-day breakfast and piping-hot coffee. Here’s everything you need to know …

Shopping can be strenuous work. If you’re in need of a reprieve from the retail therapy, pull up a seat at The Little Spoon Co. The happy new coffee slinger has been open for nearly one month, and is the second in the family for Natasha Pezet and Ricky Munday who also own a sibling cafe of the same name at Hyperdome Shopping Centre. Being the only full cafe on the eastern side of the centre, it was a no brainer for the pair, who you will often find smiling out from behind the counter or running plates of food from the kitchen to tables. The quirky space is framed by a black-and-white spotted couch, neon lights and pops of greenery, providing a vibrant and welcoming backdrop.

Natasha describes the menu as fresh, appealing and modern. If you’re after a quick bite, there’s a selection of pastries ready to grab and go, alongside Paradox Coffee Roasters flowing through the machine. If time is on your side, the rosti breakfast topped with crisp bacon, poached egg and hollandaise is an excellent choice, but if you’re after something a little bit naughty (read: delicious), the waffles with fried chicken, bacon, egg and maple syrup is guaranteed to fuel your shopping expedition. The corn, haloumi and zucchini fritters are also a popular choice. If breakfast is not your meal of choice, there’s a selection of salads, toasties and a couple of sandwiches to wrap your mitts around.
