The Coffee Deck brings all-day eats and gooey treats to Paradise Waters

Life is all about balance. Like, if you want to have a colourful chickpea salad for lunch, and chase it with a slither of chocolate cookie crumble cheesecake, then who are we to judge? The Coffee Deck is a newly opened cafe in the water-bound hub that is Paradise Waters, with an all-day menu and drool-worthy cabinet of goodies that will allow the best of both worlds. Yes, friends, here you can have your cake, and eat it too.

Just a hop, skip and a jump from Main Beach and Surfers Paradise lies the waterfront precinct of Paradise Waters. You’re forgiven if you’ve never really set foot in the residential enclave, because, well, unless you (or someone you know) lives there, then there is no real reason to. Until now. The Coffee Deck is a new daytime hub that’s bringing the tastes of Social Espresso coffee, all-day breakfasts, and vibrant lunches to the relaxed northern pocket. If you’re on the hunt for a new coffee hang that is away from the hustle and bustle, then you’d best venture off the Gold Coast Highway and swing in for a brew and a bite.

The Coffee Deck came together at the hands of owners Trudi Duncan and Colin Beer (great surname). With a fresh approach, the new cafe offers an array of delicious options for a morning munch, from hunger-busting breakky burgers, to a vibrant green Goodness Bowl. For a giant appetite, the Captain’s Brekky platter is a real mouthful – three eggs, gourmet sausages, bacon (cooked to your liking, too!), grilled tomato, hash browns and a solid slab of glorious haloumi. There are plenty of fresh salads and wraps in the cabinet, and daily lunch specials from the kitchen – like an open grilled chicken souvlaki served in a tortilla bowl, and mushroom arancini balls with smoky chilli mayo.  Alongside the savouries, the cabinet is brimming with house-made sweet treats. Just a heads up, the gooey coconut rough caramel slice will change your life. Oh, and so will the loaded muffins … and the before-mentioned chocolate cookie crumble cheesecake. Don’t worry, there’s protein balls, acai bowls and healthy nut slices as well, but you’ll find it hard to shy away from the sweet goodness – you’ve been warned.
