Since opening in August, Tarte Beach House in Currumbin has lured brunch lovers with a siren song of perfect pastries, drool-inducing sweet treats and moreish morsels. As the silly season officially kicks off, the venue’s visionary owner Chloe Watts has unveiled a new events space aptly named ‘The Hideout’ alongside three incredible new feast options. Read on for all of the delectable details …

If we’ve come to know anything about Chloe Watts, it’s that when she sets her mind to something, you can bet your bottom dollar that it’s going to be executed to perfection. The Hideout does not disappoint. Located at the top of the internal stairs, the private event space continues Tarte’s signature Hamptons-meets-Paris aesthetic, but this time we’re getting a glimpse of a slightly darker and moodier vibe with a beautiful black Jaguar natural stone tabletop paired with an antique workbench, fresh blooms and historic photographs. The true hero, however, is the gorgeous view of the Moreton Bay Fig tree and Currumbin Creek.

The Hideout offers three different catering options. The first is for the brunch lovers, with a curated yoghurt pot, mini avo toast, mini salmon bagel and pastry, plus a fresh OJ and a coffee or tea for $55 per person. The second option is Tarte’s brand-new high tea, which features all of your Tarte faves, just mini! We’re talking mini bagels, munchable chicken sandwiches, crullers, crumpets and more, for $75 per person, which includes tea, coffee, a cocktail, wine or beer. Finally, there’s the share-style lunch package, which includes classics such as the crab linguine, cured salmon and Asian herbed salad, to name a few, plus your choice of beverage for $85 per person. The Hideout is available to book for groups of 12 or more. Oh, and if there’s not a function booked for that day, the space will be used as overflow seating for the restaurant from Friday through to Sunday. The Hideout is just one of the exciting things Chloe has in the works, so keep your peepers peeled for a dreamy picnic package, as well as afternoon drinks and charcuterie coming oh-so-soon.
