Harajuku Gyoza’s famous giant Japanese souffle pancakes have landed on the Gold Coast

Gold Coast foodies, get your knives and forks ready for action – Harajuku Gyoza’s wildly famous giant Japanese souffle pancakes will (finally) be hitting our tables this weekend. These pillow-soft towers of deliciousness will be wobbling onto plates for four weeks only, starting from this Sunday November 12.

Earlier this year, our mates in Brisbane were blessed with these drool-worthy and totally eye-catching giant Japanese pancakes, and now it’s our turn! So, what’s the fuss? The concept, which came from a famous cafe in Tokyo called Café Gram, features a stack of three giant pancakes that are each around five centimetres in height. Do the maths – it’s pretty darn high, which means these fluffy stacks get a mesmerising wobble on (helloooo Boomerang).

These famous pancakes are created using a meringue mixture, which is slow-cooked for 12 hours before being served with a hefty drizzle of Nutella, a schmear of cream, fresh banana and a splash of maple syrup. What a sweet, sweet dream. Now, these stacks of goodness are only available for four weeks, starting this Sunday November 12. They’ll be available from Sundays through to Thursdays (not Fridays and Saturdays) at Harajuku Gyoza Beer Stadium in Broadbeach. If you’re itching to get these giant pancakes in your gob, then it’s advised that you book a ‘pancake sitting’ online.
