Since 2015 The Everleigh Bottling Co. has been taking cocktails from bars to bottles, consumed with capturing “the old-world elegance and fancy-free frivolity of classic cocktail culture” into conveniently portable single serves. flâner are self-described “urban perfumers” creating non-gendered scents inspired by the small details, simple pleasures and everyday beauty of city living. 

The two teams believe that making fragrances and cocktails are more similar processes than people might think – creating unique sensorial experiences, blending disparate ingredients into a cohesive whole, even working with top, middle and base notes. They’ve tested this hypothesis by working together to create a cocktail inspired by flâner’s eau de parfum Vive La Fleur.

Vive La Fleur evokes scenes of hot jazz by the Seine with notes of white apricot, jasmine, magnolia, musk and amber. Rather than attempting to replicate the fragrance or scent notes, The Everleigh Bottling Co. focuses on vibes, thinking about the  Left Bank of Paris in the 1920s with its thriving art and literary scene centred on creative freedom, unconventional attitudes and a resounding cafe culture. Paul Hammond, The Everleigh Bottling Co.’s Product Development Manager, describes the final drink as “a captivating mix of vibrant dry gin along a backbone of biting pink grapefruit and zesty lemon with the fresh floral notes of dry cherry and white peach laced with a kiss of absinthe. Perfect for musing away an afternoon.”
