Eat, drink and get fit (or don’t) at West Burleigh’s all-new Espresso 151

A heath-conscious and totally delicious new cafe has sprouted in the West Burleigh hood by the name of Espresso 151. If smoothie bowls in the winter sunshine, top-notch coffee and guilt-free raw treats are your jam, then this new little caffeine-fuelled hub will be right up your alley.

In a breath of fresh air for the West Burleigh precinct, the newly opened Espresso 151 is spinning out a wave of healthy treats, on-the-go eats and quality Campos coffee from its rustic and stylish new digs. The caffeine-fuelled space adjoins the also newly opened Elevation Fitness gym (previously Project Sparta), though, we’ll point out that this is no ordinary gym – nor does Espresso 151 feel even remotely related (albeit adjoined) to a gym. Step inside and you’re greeted with impressive high ceilings, rusty corrugated-iron walls, recycled timber wares, polished concrete and exposed irrigation pipes – yep, the fit-out is way cool.

Espresso 151 opens from 6:00 am every single day – a saviour for those who use West Burleigh Road en route to the morning M1 commute. Alongside the brews, you’ll also find a bunch of healthy breakfast savouries, chia puddings, wraps, protein balls and raw superfood slices in the cabinet. The kitchen pumps out a colourful selection of smoothie bowls, muesli and fruit-topped acai, and fresh smoothies. If you’re having one of those days where a green smoothie just doesn’t cut it (we all have those days), then there is a ‘naughty corner’ with a selection of baked treats like croissants … because, well, life’s about balance.
