Perhaps the most anticipated element of The Langham, Gold Coast’s unveiling (beyond its stellar accommodation amenities) is the reveal of its signature food and beverage offering. It goes without saying that a hotel of this magnitude is bound to have some pretty impressive dining options, and friends, The Langham, Gold Coast does not disappoint. Since welcoming its very first guests in June of this year, the hotel has gifted us an incredible array of places to eat and drink including Palm CourtLobby BarAkoya26 & Sunny, and most recently – the jewel in its culinary crown – T’ang Court, a sister venue to The Langham’s signature Michelin-starred destination for fine Cantonese dining. Now, the final piece has been revealed with the opening of Coral Moon, a brand-new open-air cocktail bar. Here’s everything you need to know …

Spending an afternoon basking in the sunshine with a cocktail in hand, getting lost in the mesmerising view of the ocean is a quintessential Gold Coast experience. The Langham, Gold Coast’s recently unveiled sip spot Coral Moon, located on the podium on level three, is designed to do just that. A brand-new destination bar, Coral Moon promises to delight diners with a tightly curated clutch of summertime sips, insatiable ocean views and casual Asian-inspired bites. While the hotel’s preceding venues raised the bar in terms of opulence and offering, Coral Moon oozes relaxed romance with colourful lounges scattered around individual fireplaces. Designed by an award-winning Australian firm, Studio Aria, Coral Moon offers a casually sophisticated perch for late-afternoon drinks or the perfect precursor to a refined Cantonese feast at T’ang Court.

When it comes to the tipples, Aaron Howard, bars manager for The Langham, Gold Coast said it had been carefully crafted to suit the bar’s coastal location and luxurious look and feel. “Five signature exotic cocktails have been concepted and created by our talented mixologists to suit a range of tastes. For those wanting something bubbly and sweet, you can’t go past the Cherry Blossoms and for the flipside, more of a smooth, fruity but dark mix, the Drama & Karma is a must-try,” Aaron said. Coral Moon goes beyond the standard selection to include Asian spirits and cocktails infused with Australian herbs and botanicals. Those who are feeling a little peckish can bite in to pillowy pork baos, takaoyaki (battered Japanese octopus balls), Cantonese-style boneless fried chicken, eggplant and pumpkin tempura, and crisp vegetarian spring rolls. With its open-air setting, the new destination bar will operate as a weather-dependent venue for walk-ins only. It is located on level three of The Langham, Gold Coast hotel with on-site parking available for patrons.
