Yugambeh Mobo Festival

The Yugambeh Mobo Festival is the Gold Coast’s biggest celebration of Aboriginal bush foods, stories, music, language, art and culture. Get involved in free and ticketed ($5 – $10) workshops including art and crafts for kids and adults, boomerang throwing, didgeridoo, cooking with bush foods and much, much more.

Relax and enjoy displays and performances from the best of our local Indigenous talent on the main stage while feasting on a lunch incorporating Australian native flavours from the cafe. Soak in the sounds by Chris Tamwoy, William Barton, the Yugambeh Youth Choir and Didge Orchestra and many more artists.

So much more than a one day event, Yugambeh Mobo has developed across generations and through community consultation and preservation of the local history. It is the vision of this campaign and the Yugambeh Museum that Yugambeh language is re-introduced into everyday environments, so it does not disappear forever. Cultural pride governs the existence of Yugambeh, further continued with an invitation to the wider community to join in the celebrations and determinations of Australia’s first peoples.

Head to the Yugambeh Mobo website to reserve your place in one or more of the many workshops and for further event details.
