This year, Australia is anticipating, dare we say it, the biggest and best Oktoberfest to ever grace our sunny shores. Dust off the dirndls, Oktoberfest in the Gardens 2023 is a waltz away, heading to the mammoth location of the Brisbane Showgrounds on Saturday October 14, and the Gold Coast’s Broadwater Parklands on Saturday September 30. With all the fun being previously held in Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney and Perth for the last decade, the annual event has Brisbane and the Gold Coast on its hit list, and trust us, you want a ticket to this one! Taste your way through the spoils of Germany and dig into a host of traditional dishes from tasty pomme frites, traditional pork hocks, soft and chewy pretzels, and more, while wetting your whistles with a beer stein full of German brews, craft beers and crisp ciders or glasses of sparkling, spirit and wine. Embrace the carnival atmosphere and feel the Showgrounds come alive as the multi-stage event hosts live entertainment, DJs, a traditional Oompah band, and more – the line-up is yet to be announced. Apart from the massive beer hall, Oktoberfest in the Gardens features a silent disco, sideshow alley, thrill rides, a Berghain-inspired rave cave and much, much more. Tickets go on sale Tuesday July 18, and are $69.90.
