Hubble & Webb Space Telescopes: Seeing Into Our Future

Hubble & Webb Space Telescopes: Seeing Into Our Future

This year will see the Next Generation Space Telescope joining our legendary Hubble Space Telescope in its continued research into the origins of our Universe. Join Gold Coast Astronomy’s John McDonald as he discusses the Hubble legacy and upcoming James Webb Space Telescope launch. These powerful scientific instruments play a vital role in the future of Astronomy as they observe the distant past.

The night will include a guided tour and telescope viewing of all the visible wonders the Southern Celestial Hemisphere has to offer this August. Complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and soup will be provided throughout the night.

Gold Coast Astronomy offers you the ability to relive your experience with a take home star chart of the night and summary of key visible celestial objects, as well as the opportunity to capture, with your mobile, your very own snaps through one of our telescopes.

Tickets will be available to purchase via eftpos on the night and on Gold Coast Astronomy’s new official website!

We look forward to you joining us and embarking on an educational and memorable night exploring our galaxy and beyond …
