Get a taste of what the Gold Coast’s newest alfresco dining and retail precinct Australia Fair Metro has in store at the Flavours of Metro Street Party in Southport! Running simultaneously with the opening of Gold Coast’s craft beer festival Free the Hops, both events will see Southport’s Young Street come to life with a gastronomical array of food, drink and entertainment offerings for visitors to enjoy.

While brew lovers can get amongst the latest craft beer at Free the Hops, the Flavours of Metro Street Party will showcase an international smorgasbord of delicious food and beverage offerings, along with non-stop live music and a gangbusters array of entertainment and performers.

Tastebuds will be tempted as Metro’s tenants serve up a tantalising spread of cheap eats and delicious beverages, with diners able to secure a table at any one of the eateries or grab a tasting plate and enjoy the atmosphere in the dedicated ‘party zone’. In addition to culinary delights, the Flavours of Metro Street Party will offer a spectacular program of street entertainment including gravity-defying acrobats, astounding contortionists, daring fire twirlers and exotic snake charmer Madusa.

It will also be a playground for the kids who will flock to the balloon twisters, face painting and motorised animal rides. Rapidly rising Gold Coast electro-pop band Sunset City and popular 8-piece Magic Carpet Ride will inject their super energetic vibe into the event, with live music kicking off at 4:00 pm.
