Looking around the vibrant walls and eclectic bathroom stalls of Miami Marketta, you feel artists have been allowed to run wild here – and they have. Creating an atmosphere that is fun and playful for young and young at heart, Miami Marketta is leaning into its connection to the community by celebrating local artists, artisans, makers and creators in one big market – Marketta Arts Creative – every Thursday night.

From March 21, the laneway hot spot will become your go-to late-night shop for handmade, handcrafted and one-of-a-kind creations. Hunt for treasure in more than 20 stalls and talk to the sellers to hear the stories behind the artwork. 

Miami Marketta’s Creative Director Emma Wilkins knows the importance of championing local artisans and designers. “For a city of our size, opportunities are limited for our grassroots artists, we know they are screaming out for a new platform.”

Markets are the perfect platform for hot new talent to take centre stage. From fashion and jewellery to art and craft, the laneway will be filled to the brim with wares made by local artists and designers, making it your one-stop shop to connect with your community.

Artists will be surrounded by artisanal food with a delicious palette of street eats on offer, including desserts to satiate that sweet tooth and cocktail specials flowing as you breeze through the stalls and soak in the artsy vibes.

As the sun sets, local DJs will turn up the volume on your shop and, with doors opening at 5:00 pm, there will be plenty of time to drink, eat, shop, and dance the night away.
