Bookings for Sandstone Point Holiday Resort’s overwater villas are set to open soon
A stone’s throw from Bribie Island’s white sandy beaches and the iconic Sandstone Point Hotel lies BIG4 Sandstone Point Holiday Resort. Coined as a ‘coastal home away from home’, this family favourite boasts stellar camping, glamping and caravanning facilities. With safari tents and luxury villas aplenty, the resort will soon add to its offering in the form of a swimmable lake fringed by six overwater villas. Our lake house getaway dreams are about to come true!
Since opening in 2018, Sandstone Point Holiday Resort’s owners, the Comiskey Group, have been constantly upgrading the vacation hub, cementing its status as one of the Moreton Bay region’s most popular accommodation spots. Most recently, Sandstone Point Holiday Resort has began construction on six new overwater villas, which will be seated atop an on-site lake. The three-bedroom villas will have a spacious open-plan layout featuring a dining, kitchen and living area, and will open out to a deck and outdoor dining area that extends out over the lake. The best part? These overwater cabins boast their very own heated plunge pools and barbecues – everything you need for the perfect getaway.
The lake is currently in the process of being turned into a chemical-free swimming hole safe for keen paddlers, with pumps and injectors ensuring high oxygen levels and a constant water flow. At a later stage, a natural eco-system including fish and plant life will call the body of water home. Once complete, all resort guests will be able to chuck on their togs for a dam dip, while guests staying in the overwater villas will have VIP access to the dam using a ladder situated on the villa’s back deck.
Sandstone Point Holiday Resort’s overwater villas are on track to be finalised before the December school holidays. To sign up to be among the very first to book these impressive villas, head to the Sandstone Point Holiday Resort website.
