Join us for an incredible afternoon of exhibitions, live music, performances, workshops and giveaways for all ages, as part of the Museum’s 20th birthday celebrations.  This year’s event is inspired by the Tweed, our people, places, biodiversity, and history. Bring your friends and family for a day filled with unique experiences, laughter, and lasting memories. Book your FREE tickets to receive the full event program closer to the date.

THE STAGE  
Dance and enjoy a stellar lineup of live music featuring Lazy Ghost, Blackline, Bella Amor, Tomorrow’s Forecast, Love Banana, The Jacks, and Ben Whiting.

THE STREET
Experience the return of the Tweed Valley Banana Festival Float with its regal throne and fabulous Banana Queens. Join in for banana-themed fun, photos, and more!

Far-out flashmobs and dancing with The Cassettes.
Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony with Uncle Franc Krasna.
Work alongside creatives Tamsin Ainslie and Leith Walton to create a public artwork.
Visit the Story Salon at the Museum on Wheels with the Murwillumbah Historical Society.
Weave wonders at Ti Leaves and Talks with Louise and Kyra Togo.
Explore the Six Seasons Cultural Calendar and connect with Country with Bundjalung elder Uncle Franc.
Transform into a Tweed native species by our face painters and tackle our Adventure Game.

JAM VAN 
Bust a move at the Jam Van with kids’ entertainer Shorty Brown.

GAME ON 
Tweed Tales Trivia: Tall or True? Spot tall and true tales in our special trivia game card and win fantastic prizes from local businesses.
Kid’s, collect your Game Card and be guided by our Museum Mates on an adventure throughout the Museum and the street party.

MAKERS LANE  
Wander down Makers Lane, where you’ll find an array of exquisite jewelry and designer wares created by amazing designers and artisans, carefully selected by our very own local designer Kirsten Devitt, from Each to Own.
BeKA Ceramics, Jill McCray, Kate Bouchier, Lauren Grey, Emily Lambard, Elke, Jo Olive, Scrub Turkeys, Alex Nightingale, Bonnie Hislop, Maia Green, Knit Happens, and Seams Australia.
The Museum Shop will be open too, where you can discover something unique from intriguing science books and sparkling geodes to rich First Nations literature and fascinating museum artifacts.

IN THE MUSEUM  
Explore the exhibitions on display all about the Tweed; Omnia: all and everything, Land | Life | Culture, Gems and Thunder eggs. Don’t miss out on experiencing Mini Murwillumbah and the Rainbow Room.

SWAMP BEER GARDEN 
Lovely local legends Spangled Drongo and the Gin Experience are presenting the aptly titled Swap Beer Garden near the main stage.

Grab a seat and savour delicious bites and refreshing drinks throughout the event! Indulge in flavors from Oki Foods’ Japanese delights, Khanthlay’s Kitchen SE Asian delights, Yulli’s Modern Asian and Mediterranean cuisine, Flyin’ Fox Icy Poles, and more.
