Heritage label Gitman Vintage arrives at Dirtbox
For more than 70 years, Gitman Bros. has operated as a custom, ready-made shirt factory in Ashland, Pennsylvania. Making use of its extensive shirt library, younger brother label Gitman Vintage modernises these original designs, making American heritage shirting suited to work and play.
Honouring the importance of a well-crafted button-up shirt, Gitman Vintage dusts off the highly detailed patterns from its history to curate an authentic reimaging of American fashion. Acute details that have followed the label since its founding to today include a classic three-inch button-down collar, a button at the back of the collar, a locker loop and box pleat on the rear of the shirt and Gitman Bros.’ trademark green horizontal stitching on the final button.
With each shirt reissued with the original label, Chris Olberding and Ryan Metauro’s shirts inspire nostalgia and pay tribute to the label’s extensive history. The latest collection sees striking stripes and polka dots feature alongside chequered, floral and block-coloured styles, while the Cuban Pinup shirt is sure to turn heads at your next outing. Gitman Vintage is exclusive to Dirtbox in Queensland.
