Butter Beats moves base to Fortitude Valley
Avid fans of the world of music will undoubtedly be familiar with Butter Beats. The record store has resided in Brisbane City since 1998 but has now made its move across town to a larger premises at the top of the Chinatown Mall.
For collectors, or even casual admirers of the LP, Butter Beats is a haven thanks to it being home to a motley mix of rare records and CDs. Peeking through the stacked sleeves, you will find a range of musical genres that don’t discriminate – you could fumble through a slew of Motown or discover a rare single from super group Cream. You will also be able to find musical gems from the worlds of hip-hop, trance and reggae, if those styles are more to your tastes.
Within its many shelves, the new Butter Beats store also stocks a selection of clothing, including t-shirts, caps and collectables. You will also find that the store has continued its dedication and passion for street art. In fact, for the budding artist, Butter Beats is the provider of one of the largest range of street-art supplies in the state. Choose from the countless colours that form a wall behind the counter, or consult one of the many team members who have experience with the artform.
