Boxvintage builds a new nest at 73 Vulture

There are those vintage lovers who are so dedicated to the craft that they keep an ever-watchful eye on the vintage boutiques of Paris, Milan and New York. If, instead, you are looking for a slice of wearable history a little closer to home, try West End icon Boxvintage, which has just moved into a new den on Vulture Street.

The new shop is located at 73 Vulture Street in West End, neighbouring popular watering hole, The End. Its walls are lined with the ever-familiar black-and-white check that adorned the old shop, but this new store is bigger and brighter. To accompany its new digs, the store also has a range of new stock lining its shelves and racks. Vintage band shirts are there by the droves, as are sequin shift dresses of every colour, headresses, jackets and Disney sweaters – there is something to be found by everyone within this treasure trove.

Having opened its doors for the first time more than eight years ago, Boxvintage has accrued an impressive amount of vintage and retro attire for both genders. It also continues to receive new stock by the week. To keep up to date with the latest deliveries and stock from the store, you can follow the Boxvintage blog and Facebook page. And don’t worry, they’re keeping the old beloved space down the road, turning it into a rehearsal-meets-recording-studio and gallery for artist-run initiative The Box.
