The wooden watch was the creative concept of a design team in Florence, who wanted to create something both stylish and sustainable. The watches are not your average upcycling job, but rather a process that sees scrap wood and quality technical parts from Miyota combine to create a green timepiece. It works like any other watch, with a replaceable battery, splash-proof features, and a manufacturer’s warranty – its difference is that it doesn’t harm the environment. Each WeWood watch is also made from natural, hypo-allergenic materials and treated so that the final product will be as long-lasting as any typical timepiece.
