Manly Boathouse expands its fleet with a new seafood-slinging trawler
When it comes to waterfront locales, Manly Boathouse boasts a primo perch. The restaurant, bar and takeaway spot is known for its sumptuous seafood offering, spectacular selection of sips and near-panoramic views of Moreton Bay. Continuing to grow its dynamic fleet of dining experiences, Manly Boathouse’s newest addition is The Trawler – a mouth-watering marketplace housing the freshest ocean-caught fare.
Wondering where to source some of the freshest seafood in Brisbane? Let us introduce you to The Trawler, Manly Boathouse’s newest seafood-centric concept. Situated on the pontoon at the back of the restaurant, The Trawler is where you’ll find a wide variety of premium local seafood to purchase at wholesale prices every Saturday and Sunday from 6:00–10:30 am. With more than 25 years experience in the seafood industry, Manly Boathouse owners Nikki and Greg are masters in acquiring the very best of the best when it comes to sea-sourced snacks. If the product isn’t coming straight from one of their boats, it’s sourced from a small cohort of fisherman, so you can rest assured you’re getting the freshest seafood every time you visit.
The Trawler’s menu currently consists of medium and large Mooloolaba king prawns, extra-large green headless prawns, medium and large sand crabs, whole-cleaned knobby snapper, Sydney rock oysters and whole Moreton Bay bugs. You can also nab some of Manly Boathouse’s range of delicious sauces created by head chef Braden White – the perfect accompaniment to your seafood, or look the part with a Trawler esky, bucket and cap. Those desperate for some caffeine can grab a takeaway coffee and pastry or sit down for some brekky at The Patio.
